About

About Us

The Rohingya Research Foundation (RRF) is an independent, non-partisan think tank dedicated to the study of the Rohingya people, Arakan, and Myanmar. Our primary focus is Rohingya history, identity, and documentation, with Myanmar examined as the essential political and historical backdrop against which the Rohingya experience continues to unfold. Through rigorous research, archival preservation, and accessible publishing, we work to build a lasting and credible body of knowledge on this history.

RRF's research draws on primary-source documentation, archival records, and direct community engagement to ensure findings remain grounded in verifiable evidence. Our work is intended for scholars, journalists, policymakers, and members of the public seeking a reliable, well-sourced account of Rohingya history and the broader Myanmar context.
